Life Update : 2

Hello again! I'm back with something to write. A few things happen to me every day, and I just enjoy them. However, due to my laziness, I haven't been writing here. But you know what motivates me to write? The thought that I'll be something big or great one day! My family and people will be curious about me, so I write to satisfy that curiosity. Haha! You're lucky to be reading about how Adarsh is going to make it big!

Days have gone well, and Diwali was enjoyable too. I burnt crackers and ate plenty of sweets. I looked good externally (and I'm always good internally, haha!). I received a few comments; one girl told me I looked like a gentleman. Hehe!

One more thing that stood out was when my dad and I met one of my uncles. I greeted him, and then he said to my dad, "Your son is now at a marriageable age." Of course, he didn't say it directly, but that's what he meant (what he said is untranslatable!). Leaving the good things aside, one thing I can't ignore is that my dad's presence prevented me from fully enjoying myself.

As I've returned after many days, it's my prime responsibility to share something from my life. Let me tell you about a true incident that happened a few days ago. There's a girl in our class; let's call her Lockey. I used to tease Lockey indirectly, cracking jokes about her with my friends. Often, I'd shout her name in class and pretend I hadn't done anything.

One day, in our morning remedial class, a friend asked me to call Lockey and say Dayank (a classmate) wanted to speak with her. I agreed, thinking it was no big deal, given my "cool image" in class.

Here's what happened next:

Lockey: Adarsh, why were you calling me?

Me: Dayank was calling you.

Lockey: Doesn't he have a mouth to call me? Don't do this again; don't take my name like this from now on.

Me: (smiling)

Lockey: Don't you ever take my name!

(Two minutes later, just to tease her)

Me: Lockeyyy!!!

Lockey: ....

Me: Sorry!

Lockey: Okay! :)

What's remarkable is that people know me as someone who never apologizes. I'm the guy who disobeys teachers and others, never bothering to say sorry. But I made an exception for Lockey. Her courage to confront me impressed me, and I appreciated her confidence.

Saying sorry was my way of acknowledging her strength. It might give her the confidence to stand up for herself in the future. That's the reason I apologized, and I'm glad I did.

That's it! Stay tuned.
