Ukulele!

This word "ukulele" had become a part of my life two years ago. And until now, I didn't know the basics of it.
So, in today's post, we will have a glimpse of the ukulele, aka UKE.

History!

It was developed in the 1880s. The ukulele is based on several small, guitar-like instruments of Portuguese origin, including the machete. And yeah, one more thing: it comes from a lute family. If you don't know what it is, then you can read this article available on Britannica

So, it looks something like this:

So, it has four vertical strings from left to right.

G
C
E
A

Like this, it also has frets that are horizontal. And it counts like 1 2 3 4 5...

So, if you're new to it, you should know how to read a cord chart. For instance, I'm taking C major. It is the simplest one I've found. There are many more, like:
A mojor
A minor
G major (the tricky one)
F Major
E minor, and many more.

So, here's the chart. The chart represents the first three frets of the ukulele. And you need not place any fingers on the unfilled circle. Okay??

So, according to the chart, place your ring finger on the 3rd fret of the A string. as simple as that. As a chess player, it became simple for me to learn frets because in chess, all the square boxes have their own names.

That's how you can begin to learn to play different chords. With a lot of practise and time, you can learn how to play it. In my opinion, it is way better than the guitar because the ukulele is lighter and more portable. Whereas, guitar and I've same height approximately😂.

It's a bit about the ukulele. It may seem simple, but it also requires time and practise. like anything else! There are many YouTube channels where you can find tutorials for songs. They are really helpful if you want to learn them seriously.

Don't forget to tune your ukulele before proceeding.😃

Stay Tuned here!! 😂
